Eight years ago, the international foundry Typotheque began a meticulous study of Thai typography, focusing on reading performance and cultural perception. Collaborating with local experts and designers, Typotheque created a comprehensive a large collection of Thai font families, contributing to Thailand’s visual culture through extensive research and thoughtful design. Mint Tatisuwanna, an award-winning type designer based in Bangkok, describes the project.

Letterform Lectures are a public aspect of the Type West postgraduate program. The series is co-presented by the San Francisco Public Library, where events are free and open to all.
