In this two-day workshop (over two consecutive Saturdays), participants will get an introduction to lettering on an iPad. We’ll be using Procreate’s iPad app as our main workspace in this course, but the same lessons and principles can be applied to other digital and analog mediums. This workshop focuses on the foundational skills that enable you to create unique lettering pieces suitable for both personal and professional projects.
We will begin with a general overview of type anatomy and approaches to lettering while also learning the technical side of working in Procreate. The second day of the workshop will explore ways to sketch and iterate on dynamic compositions, ending with a few techniques for how to finish a polished, share-worthy lettering piece. So whether you’re new to lettering, Procreate, or both, you are welcome to join us on this two-day journey!
